This pillow is made from Sabra Cactus Silk and is harvested from Saharan Aloe Vera which grows in Morocco. Local villagers harvest the leaves for the filaments within. The leaves are pounded and soaked until the fibers separate. They are then spun to create a soft and strong thread. The thread is then woven on a loom to create the textural canvas. Patterns of ancient motifs are woven in, and they tell their own unique story. The yarn-dyed palette comes from all-natural botanical pigments, and each pillow cover gets its unique, burnished character from washing and drying under the Moroccan sun.
