Injiri means "real India".

Injiri creates simple and elegant textiles for the

home including cushions, rugs, floor runners, blankets,

throws, quilts, table linen and bags. Each piece is hand-

woven using a special weaving technique of continuous

extra weft which is traditional to the Gujarat region of

western India. 

Injiri was started by textile designer Chinar Farooqui in 2009. She

 expresses her love for the traditional Indian textile and techniques with Injiri and

 designs each item with weavers on their wooden hand-looms,

making textile design the most apparent and important design feature of her products.
